HIP AND KNEE CONDITIONS
Hip pain is caused by the hip joint less often than most people realise.
Often the lower back will refer pain into the hip joint, at other times the gluteal muscles or muscles in the thigh and hamstrings will create mechanical dysfunction that results in hip pain. In both of these examples the hip is the location of the pain but the hip joint is not the cause of the pain.
It takes carful assessment of gait, posture and movement to determine the cause of hip pain. Myotherapy is super effective at resolving hip pain whether it is caused by the lower back, bursitis or poor mechanics.
In the same way knee pain, including arthritic pain is commonly referred from the muscles and tendons that act on the knee. Even when the pain is a deep ache in the joint, it is not usually the joint at fault.

I’ve had Myotherapy treatment for my knee, an old netball injury, which hurt constantly. I had been to other therapies with this problem and went about 5 times but I still had the problem. Timothy worked on it twice and I’ve never had trouble since even though it had been sore for about 3 years.
