TOM’S STORY
This is why I do what I do.
I saw Tom a few years ago, and haven’t seen him since.
He’ll tell you why . . .
I had a bad fall exactly 10 years ago, landing heavily on my left side. Since then I have had a lot of shoulder and neck pain, heavy and painful shoulder joint cracking, arm and hand pins and needles, and poor sleep patterns due to the pain and discomfort. I have had X-rays taken and examined by GPs, been to chiropractors, had acupuncture, Bowen therapy, remedial massage, and other forms of treatment – but if anything, all they could offer was short term relief.
To be honest, I knew nothing about Myotherapy, and may have even been slightly sceptical – simply because nothing else had worked for me. The pain and discomfort though was getting very hard to live with, so a recommendation to see Tim King was followed.
The work that Tim has done has simply been unbelievable. In only four or five sessions nearly all of my shoulder pain has gone. I no longer get pins and needles down my arm and into my hand, and for the first time in 10 years I can go to bed and get a full night’s sleep without waking or discomfort. My shoulder no longer ‘clicks’ and ‘clunks’ like it used to and I can walk and exercise without holding my arm as if in a sling to help prevent the pain.
As such, I would have no hesitation in recommending Tim King and Myotherapy to anyone with lingering pain issues. To put it simply, Myotherapy has been a savior for me.
What was wrong?
Tom presented to me, and every other practitioner, with pain in his arm and shoulder. As such everyone examined and treated his shoulder.
Without results.
The truth is that most of Tom’s symptoms were coming from his neck, which he injured in the same fall but did not know it. This was complicated by the fact that his shoulder joint was not operating properly either. The shoulder and the neck were compensating for each other and neither was getting anywhere.
The detailed knowledge of referred pain that a Myotherapist has, combined with industry leading hands-on palpation skills means that we often solve the hard cases.
